Multi-Speaker Recognition

HintMint identifies each individual speaker in a meeting, so every insight, quote, and action item is attributed to the right person automatically.

How It Works

During the listening phase, HintMint separates the audio stream by voice and matches each voice to a participant using calendar and meeting metadata. This happens continuously and in real time, with no manual tagging required.

Why Attribution Matters

Generic transcription tells you what was said. Attribution tells you who said it, who agreed to it, and who owns the resulting action item. This is the difference between a transcript and a usable record.

Handling Common Edge Cases

  • New or unrecognized voices: HintMint labels unidentified speakers generically until they can be matched, and updates retroactively once identified.
  • Multiple people on one line: HintMint separates overlapping speech where possible and flags ambiguous segments for manual review.
  • Large group calls: accuracy is highest with clear audio; see Audio Detection Issues if attribution quality drops in large or noisy meetings.

Reviewing and Correcting Attribution

Open any meeting summary and select a quote or action item to reassign it to the correct speaker if needed.
